I used the same amt of oatmeal and applesauce, one chopped and peeled Granny Smith apple (not sure what that amounts to), 2 teas Agave Nectar instead of the honey, a whole (loose) cup of raisins (for the "chewy factor"), no van extract because I'm out of if, a TON of cinnamon, a teas of nutmeg, and no allspice because I'm out of that, too. My husband loves them and eats them every morning for breakfast at work. I asked him if he'd like me to make some of the other varieties (he really liked the PB/banana) but he just wants the apple version. If it isn't broke, don't fix it, right? So glad to have him eating these instead of danish or the "granola/energy" bars he was buying before. Love your blog and have recommended you to all of my friends! Warmly, Christine T. I'm not sure if someone is messing with me on purpose over there, or if they have a bug in their system for bloggers pages. I've researched it, & it appears there are other bloggers who have been having the same issues & they can't get it resolved either. Sigh...

FB, per their own comments, say they do not respond to individual problems... a sad state of affairs if you ask me. Funny thing is, they continue to ask me to 'advertise' with them. Never will at this rate. Poor customer service all the way around. :(

I do sincerely appreciate you writing to them though. The only way I've been able to write my blog address on FB so it won't get kicked out is to type it our as

watching-what-i-eat(dot)blogspot(dot)com

Not the best way, but it is a workaround for now. You could then tell your friends to search for Apple Spice Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies. Did you notice the recipe is in the Top 10 right now? Very cool!
Thanks again ~ YOU ROCK!Vicki Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02973516576477981831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6771618699849194713.post-26025258332309081472013-01-18T16:47:58.043-05:002013-01-18T16:47:58.043-05:00I reported the FB link problem, too. Wanted to share this recipe over there and I can't! It's really surprising how changing which type of oats (quick or old fashioned) that you use can affect the overall cookie. Same with adding protein powder. I recently added just one banana to the cookies, baked a bit less and we REALLY liked it. I'll be tinkering with that one today. It seems to be a winner, w/o the more pronounced banana flavor & a bit less chewy, but also more like a super soft cookie.

Looking forward to your recommendations on this banana-less, apple spiced breakfast cookie flavor. ;) Cheers!Vicki Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02973516576477981831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6771618699849194713.post-12340631947289382202013-01-18T04:44:35.018-05:002013-01-18T04:44:35.018-05:00Wow!
